Telling the truth…

That time of year again!can cost you your job !

The following e-mail from Wal-Mart‘s Customer Service was sent after a complaint that Wal-Mart replaced “Merry Christmas” with “Happy Holidays”.

Walmart is a world wide organization and must remain conscious of this. The majority of the world still has different practices other than ‘christmas’ which is an ancient tradition that has its roots in Siberian shamanism. The colors associated with ‘christmas’ red and white are actually a representation of of the aminita mascera mushroom. Santa is also borrowed from the Caucuses, mistletoe from the Celts, yule log from the Goths, the time from the Visigoth and the tree from the worship of Baal. It is a wide wide world.”

Although the whole PC thing around ‘Happy Holidays‘ makes me nearly vomit, I do find the answer from this Wal-Mart representative highly amusing.

walmart was started in the usa, therefore in the usa they should recongize CHRISTMAS.
They want Christians’ money, but don’t want to recongize CHRIST!
Next year if they consist on using the word holiday instead of the word CHRISTMAS we will boycott walmart and any stores that don’t recongize CHRISTMAS!

You’re right, Wal-Mart was started in the U.S., a country in which millions (and yes, I mean MILLIONS) of NON-Christians reside. ‘Happy Holidays’ includes Christmas, and if you feel that just because some corporation doesn’t specifically mention your holiday that you are unable to celebrate it, you have bigger issues. So you can go ahead and boycott Wal-Mart. I’ll welcome the shorter lines.

What’s this?
