The Jacket

Can’t sleep, have seen a film, will blog about it…

The film’s about a guy who goes to a home for the mentally insane after being convicted for the murder of a police officer, but is declared insane.

Throughout his treatment, he finds out how to go into the future. The whole idea of altering the future by changing the past has been done over and over again. In this film, information from the future is brought to the past in order to alter this future. Which is new to me (or my memory just lets me down for the time being…)

But this is not the only reason why you should see it, the cinematography is just amazing! The film is directed by John Maybury, but was produced by George Clooney and Steven Soderbergh. More name dropping? Music by Brian Eno! Actors: Keira Knightley, Adrien Brody, Jennifer Jason Leigh

This is a must-see!!!

The story you tell reminds me of “The Butterfly Effect”

  • Mike says:

It’s the same general genre, but in “The Butterfly Effect”, he’s changing the past by going back with knowledge of the future.
Here, the main character goes into the future, brings back information to change somebody else’s future (not even sure if he changes a lot to his own future).

What’s this?
