Red Cross:

The International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement is an international humanitarian movement with approximately 97 million volunteers worldwide whose stated mission is to protect human life and health, to ensure respect for the human being, and to prevent and alleviate human suffering, without any discrimination based on nationality, race, religious beliefs, class or political opinions.

Not in the list, sexual preference… which is probably why they are allowed to refuse male homosexuals as blood donors. Not sure whether that is legal in Belgium. There are specific laws to protect discrimination towards sexual preference, race, religious beliefs etc.
At the same time, a part of the Belgian catholic conservative party, the infamous organisation “Gezin” (Family) encourages its members to write letters to the government linking HIV with homosexuality. And everybody knows that HIV comes from unsafe sex, whether that be straight or bent sex.
These messages are disturbing, and then just when you are in dire need of a positive message, there’s DuvalGuillaume posting this ad on Flickr. Hurray Duval Guillaume 😉
