“Unknown Error 100″ seems to be fairly common when trying to download your first app from the App Store. Some say you have to reboot, some say that logging in and out works.
Basically, I just went to iTunes, accepted the new Terms and Condidtions (in French, even though my language setting for my OS is UK English), and restarted the App Store.
All went well from there.
