Nature cleans up our mess

In The Sunday Times, I read the following:
Oil released into the Gulf of Mexico after BP’s Deepwater Horizon rig exploded has mostly disappeared, eaten by a previously unknown strain of bacteria, say researchers.
The bug lives on the sea floor, where it feasts on the oil that seeps from the huge reservoirs under the ground.
Terry Hazen, a microbial ecologist at the Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory, told the American Association for the Advancement of Science that the release of 5m barrels of oil had caused the bacteria to multiply extremely fast and they had eaten up the oil.
Personally, I think this is amazingly good news. So why is there so little information to be found on the internet?
