Rugby and full moon

March 20, 2011 Comments Off on Rugby and full moon

Something struck me watching 6 Nations Rugby last night:

  • Chris Patterson, a man who kicked every ball between the poles in the most recent tournament, kicked poorly and one of his kicks was so bad you’d have thought it was kicked by a beginner
  • Toby Flood started off on the wrong foot when he had to kick some penalties for England
  • Even Johnny Wilkinson, a man know to be a very reliable kicker, missed his first penalty
  • Bergamasco…, no he’s not really a kicker, he’s a God

But such poor kicking, and that in Ireland, France as well as in Scotland… the only connection I see is the dramatic full moon that must have influenced the games.
